How to Import Contacts

Where to Find It

1. Log in to your TattooPro dashboard.

2. Click the Settings tab on the left sidebar.

3. Under Software Setup, select Data Import.

4. Click Contacts Only next to "Upload Your Contacts Here."

This will launch the import module.

Import Options

You have two options for adding contact data:

Option 1: Upload from File

• Click Upload data from file.

• Acceptable formats: .csv and .tsv.

• Your file should contain one row per contact.

• The system will walk you through column-matching after upload, so your column headers do not need to be in a specific format.

• You’ll be able to preview and clean up data before completing the import.

Option 2: Manual Entry

If you prefer, you can enter contact info manually using the table provided. Available fields include:

• First Name, Last Name

• Phone, Phone2, Phone3

• Email, Email2, Email3

• Company Name

• Street, Street 2, City, State, Zip

Click Continue when you're ready to finalize your import.

Tips for a Smooth Import

• Clean your spreadsheet before uploading: remove empty rows, verify consistent formatting (especially for phone numbers and emails).

• Include as much info as possible, but only the first name or phone/email is required.

• If you're importing more than a few hundred rows, split large files into smaller ones to ensure quick processing.

Re-Importing & Updates

If you upload contacts with emails or phone numbers already in your system, Punchey will attempt to match and update them—avoiding duplicate creation.
